Material Handler / Warehouse Associate

Location: Carson
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Reports To: Branch Manager (or as assigned)

Job Purpose

Maintain the flow of stocked and delivered inventory by pulling materials from bins, loading materials onto trucks, placing new material into inventory, and accurately scanning or entering data into the inventory system.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Unload materials, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks; inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met

  • Stock and transfer materials to appropriate shelves, bins, racks, or pipe bundles based on size, type, and location

  • Mark materials with proper identifying information

  • Transfer materials to and from shop areas for modifications

  • Assemble and package customer orders (boxes or pallets) according to requirements

  • Pull and prepare orders for delivery or stock transfer

  • Load materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment

  • Prepare shipping documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies

  • Adhere to all required safety training and guidelines

  • Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Basic math, reading, and typing/computer skills

  • Ability to learn warehouse operations and business processes

  • Ability to learn and follow federal health and safety regulations
