Job Description: Turnaround Scheduler
Overview:
Acts as a technical resource for Scheduling within the Global Project Methodology (GPM) or Global Turnaround Methodology (GTM) processes. Supports the establishment and monitoring of overall schedule baselines, ensuring project progress remains within established tolerances. Coordinates data inputs from various disciplines and functions to deliver accurate forecasts and reports. Engages stakeholders to investigate schedule deviations and facilitate corrective actions as needed. Requires advanced skills and expertise in processes, procedures, and systems, or specialized technical knowledge in analytical scientific methods or operational processes to perform complex assignments. May serve as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating tasks of other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert for Schedule Management.
- Promote knowledge sharing and high-quality application of scheduling discipline through technical coaching.
- Develop and maintain schedule management plans for projects and turnarounds.
- Create and manage comprehensive, integrated master project schedules throughout the project/turnaround lifecycle, incorporating changes and monitoring progress.
- Perform staffing density and limitation checks to validate schedule durations, ensuring resource allocation supports project strategy.
- Lead project teams in identifying schedule challenges and providing analyses and solutions to facilitate on-time project completion.
- Use project cost estimates for resource loading schedules; work with Cost Management to ensure alignment of schedule completion forecasts with estimated scope.
- Conduct critical path analysis to identify scheduling and resource overload issues; present alternatives and solutions to project teams.
- Evaluate project deviations to assess schedule impact and support decision making and recovery planning.
- Define comprehensive Schedule Management solutions for capital, expense, and turnaround projects.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of Schedule Work Processes, leveraging learning experiences and recommending cycle time reduction techniques.
- Provide recommendations for process and efficiency improvements.
- Short-cycle tertiary degree (Associate's degree or equivalent).
- 3-5 years of maintenance, manufacturing, or related experience.
