What's a typical day as Remote Operations Center - Technical Troubleshooting Specialist? You'll be:
  • Performing remote troubleshooting of power assets escalated from Fleet Support Operators using advanced digital tools
  • Reading, executing, and updating fault handling procedures to ensure operational excellence
  • Documenting and communicating technical data in adherence to engineering policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and supporting software and parameter updates as needed
  • Providing timely communication and escalation to stakeholders regarding significant developments
  • Participating in teams to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
  • Resolving ServiceNow support cases and assisting with training new employees
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of work performed via approved guidelines and digital tools
  • Supporting Balance of Plant and Fleet Support Operator responsibilities as required
  • Managing customer phone support requests to ensure high satisfaction
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, Energy Technologies, Operations, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university OR an Associate's degree with at least 3 years of technical experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of technical experience
  • Are willing to travel up to 10% as needed
  • Are able and willing to work on-site in Schenectady, NY, on a 24/7 rotating shift structure including potential on-call support
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and analyze technical processes
  • Are self-driven, decisive, and responsible
  • Thrive in multicultural team environments and are a strong team player
  • Are flexible, motivated, and able to sit or stand for extended periods
