SYNOPSIS:
The position is responsible for performing numerous functions associated with the manufacturing operation. This includes activities pertaining to soldering, independent machine set up, changeover, and operation of semi-automated and automated machines for production of various products. This position will ensure that products meet delivery and quality requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for independent set up, and changeover of various machines/equipment, computers, presses, and fixtures determined by job specifications.
- Perform simple pre-determined machine/equipment adjustments
- Recognize, communicate, and support improvement potentials and efforts.
- Prepare production orders including order selection, conditioning, and sequencing
- Recognize equipment/automated testing parameters, performance indicators and targets; determine setup of machine/equipment, and fixtures; coordinate issues and improvements with technician.
- Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Performing required daily preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines/equipment including general housekeeping of the machine/equipment and area.
- Supports training of associates in manufacturing procedures and flow-line practices.
- Supports Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing practices.
- Performs quality screening and inspection of various parts and assemblies according to quality standards. Fully understand quality standards and communicate material non-conformances.
- Performs soldering, hand assembly, rework, and packaging of miscellaneous parts and assemblies
- Responsible for recording assembly data and completion of all associated routing, quality documents, and other related forms
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Follow procedures associated with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001, and company procedures.
- Follow necessary PPE Requirements for a given work center.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- GED or High School Diploma
- Electronic assembly experience
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in factory automation or mentored and qualified on machine by in-house personnel.
- Ability to read and comprehend English written assembly prints a must.
- Excellent computer skills, experience including Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to use math to analyze, troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Ability to use tools, calipers and other manufacturing equipment.
