Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Sanitation Program Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with a specialized manufacturing site in southern Iowa. Role Overview:

The Sanitation Program Manager oversees site-wide hygiene systems within a controlled production environment. This role is responsible for driving sanitation strategy, ensuring ongoing compliance with internal quality systems, and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Job Details

  • Target Salary: ~$110,000-$120,000/year (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage hygiene team schedules and day-to-day operations to meet internal and external cleanliness requirements.
  • Maintain and improve a structured cleaning program, including documented schedules and compliance records.
  • Train team members and other departments on sanitation expectations and protocols.
  • Manage inventory of hygiene-related supplies and collaborate with suppliers for support and training as needed.
  • Support internal reviews and inspections related to facility hygiene and cleaning validation.
  • Participate in issue resolution, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure coordination with contractors/vendors for facility-related activities involving sanitation or pest management.
  • Review material entry procedures and oversee waste handling processes tied to sanitation efforts.
  • Participate in audits and assist in maintaining compliance with applicable production standards and safety programs.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of work in manufacturing environments with a focus on sanitation, hygiene systems, or related quality programs.
  • Familiarity with regulated industry standards such as GMP, HACCP, and related quality systems.
  • Previous involvement in supporting inspections or third-party certification programs is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Capable of operating material handling equipment to manage sanitation supplies and chemicals.
Regulatory Considerations:
  • This role requires strict adherence to internal policy and applicable regulatory expectations concerning hygiene, safety, and documentation.
  • Compliance with national manufacturing and food safety guidelines is essential.
