Senior Analytical Research Associate – Temp-to-Hire

The Analytical Support Group functions as a shared technical resource supporting analytical research and quantification needs across multiple technical study programs, while also providing analytical expertise to member organizations. The Senior Analytical Research Associate is a hands-on laboratory professional responsible for executing complex analytical measurements, supporting cross-program analytical needs, and ensuring strict adherence to QA/QC and safety standards. This role requires frequent collaboration with project leaders and technical staff, strong organizational skills, and deep expertise in chromatography-based analytical methods.

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift

  • Pay Rate: $25-$32/hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex analytical testing using gas, liquid, and ion chromatography (GC, LC, IC) and wet chemistry methods following established QA/QC protocols

  • Operate, maintain, and ensure readiness of analytical instrumentation

  • Accurately record, analyze, and summarize experimental and analytical data

  • Provide technical support and guidance to project leaders and laboratory staff

  • Support multiple analytical programs concurrently while maintaining strong organization and time management

  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety requirements and contribute to chemical hygiene and safety planning

  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure data validity and integrity

  • Communicate technical information clearly and respond to internal technical inquiries in a timely manner

  • Support laboratory and field activities as required

Required Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline

  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience with GC, LC, IC, and wet chemistry

  • Strong understanding of QA/QC principles, laboratory protocols, and safety practices

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently while exercising sound scientific judgment

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a laboratory environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and routinely handle laboratory materials, gas cylinders, and solvent containers

  • Ability to work on-site and travel to field locations as needed
