Kelly Science is seeking a Senior Medical Technician for a growing company located in Westborough, MA.
 
**This position will start off as a part time role (25-30 hours/week) with the expectation of growing to full time within 3-4 months **
 
Pay: $40-75/hour depending on experience
Shift: Day shift (flexible hours)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
 
Job responsibilities:

• Conduct complex diagnostic tests, adhering to protocols and standards.
• Manage specimen handling, testing, and results documentation.
• Perform analyses using approved methods while ensuring compliance with CLIA, GxP, and safety guidelines.
• Address and resolve issues affecting test performance, or escalate to senior staff when needed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure efficiency.
• Uphold safety and quality standards in all lab activities.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on practices and technologies.
• Accurately record procedures, results, and communications.
• Engage in ongoing learning and training to keep up with medical technology advances.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a scientific related field
• 3+ years of experience working within a clinical laboratory setting working with high complexity testing.
• Experience within hematology, coagulation and histology required. Must have experience with hematology blood smears.
• 1+ years of demonstrated leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Technology (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) highly desirable.
