Description:

The Senior Manager of Equipment Maintenance oversees the daily operations related to maintaining equipment, hardware, and tooling used in the manufacturing and testing of integrated circuits. This role involves leading and coordinating the work of employees who repair and maintain machinery and equipment across various shifts and facilities. Additionally, the Senior Manager is responsible for assessing future departmental needs and developing strategies and projects to align with business objectives.

Job Descriptions:

  • Develop and maintain department procedures and processes for Equipment Maintenance, ensuring compliance with all relevant internal and external standards, such as ISO19001, IATF19695, and ISO14001.
  • Set both short-term and long-term departmental objectives and establish key performance indicators (KPIs). Track progress, report results, and create action plans to address any non-conformances or areas where objectives and KPIs are not met.
  • Oversee departmental financials, including budgeting, CAPEX purchases, documentation preparation and review, and monitoring expenditures.
  • Ensure production equipment is properly maintained and fully operational to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs, schedules, and calibration procedures to meet operational requirements.
  • Lead the establishment and ongoing management of a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors for equipment, hardware, and tooling repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventories and conditions of equipment, hardware, tooling, and spare parts.
  • Participate in and execute lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen and 6S programs.
  • Ensure timely equipment installations according to project schedules.
  • Oversee employee competency evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development.
  • Set SMART goals for the department and team members.
  • Develop and manage strategic and tactical resource plans for equipment and personnel.
  • Collaborate regularly with external vendors and internal teams to support equipment operation, maintenance, repair, and installation.

 

Requirements:

  • Five + years of experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • At least 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in preventive maintenance techniques and scheduling.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including constraint management for daily tactical decision-making.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with comprehensive knowledge of machine and tool design, usage, repair, and maintenance to enhance equipment troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and evaluate outcomes to identify optimal solutions using data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, time management, and prioritization abilities.
