Senior Accounts Payable Manager
Remote (Must Live in the Greater Bay Area)
Salary: $115-135k a year + bonus
Monday-Friday 40 hours a week + OT

Seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Manager to lead our high-volume AP operations and drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across the organization. This is a remote role with a strong preference for candidates located in the Greater Bay Area, allowing for collaboration with local stakeholders as needed.

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of three Accounts Payable Clerks, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
  • Manage vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and AP close activities
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of AP data while meeting critical deadlines
  • Train, motivate, and develop a high-performing AP team
  • Serve as the key point of contact for internal partners and external vendors
  • Oversee vendor master setup and maintenance, including tax documentation and withholding
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of automated and AI-enabled AP tools, transitioning processes from manual to automated workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including 1099 reporting and IRS TIN matching
  • Research and resolve complex or aged vendor balances
  • Administer AMEX GBT Concur and Concur T&E
  • Support process improvements, system optimization, and special projects as assigned
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Prior AP supervisory or management experience REQUIRED
  • Strong knowledge of automated AP systems and imaging workflows
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word (10-key required)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with a hands-on mindset
  • Ability to work independently, plan proactively, and solve problems beyond the obvious
