Kelly is hiring a RD&A Lab Technician for one of our food manufacturing clients in Beloit, WI.
Duration: 1 year, extendable
Potential to convert?: Yes, based on performance, head count, etc.
Schedule: M-F 8 AM – 5 PM
Pay & Flexibility: $25.00, some flex for the right candidate
Qualifications: Entry level food science or related science background. Lab support experience is preferred. Open to BS or AS level degrees. HS level with lab experience will be considered too.

Overview:
Supporting across Beloit RD&A Savory Taste and Stocks & Broths Labs, the applicant will be responsible for maintaining lab inventory of materials & supplies, keeping a clean and organized lab and supporting team members as necessary.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma required
• 1-2 years of lab experience required
• College education in Food Science or related Science field preferred
Responsibilities:
• Maintain, organized and clean lab atmosphere by restocking labware, emptying & filling dishwashers, and replacing materials/supplies into appropriate locations • Maintain Lab inventory of Raw Materials and Finished Goods
• Maintain inventory of Lab Supplies • Willing and interested in Sensory Evaluation (taste and smell) of Savory raw materials, finished flavours and food products as necessary (including but not limited to Chicken, Beef, Pork, Dairy, Nuts, Vegetables and other Savory Foods & Flavors).
• Proactive approach to present challenges and/or errors to Manager/Scientists to participate in timely resolution
• Shows motivation to receive training and learn additional lab support responsibilities
• Express strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrate attention to detail, highly organizational skillsets and accuracy in note taking/record filing
• Exhibit strong team work ethic and employ efficient time management skills
• Desire to learn from mistakes and willingness to accept critical feedback
• Utilize basic computer skills (Microsoft Email, Excel, Word, etc.) and ability/willingness to learn new systems as needed.
• Run materials from warehouse to labs across site.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a laboratory setting and lift 50 pounds.
