Forklift Operator – Union City/Palmetto, GA (Temp-to-Hire)  

Required equipment: Raymond Stand?Up Reach & Cherry Picker  

Forklift test: Palmetto, GA • Reliable transportation required  

 

Summary:  

This is a temp?to?hire Forklift Operator role at a brand?new distribution facility in Union City, GA, with a global logistics leader. The position supports the site's startup phase and long?term warehouse operations. 

The employee will be handling Google server parts, chips, and fiber cables weighing 40–50 lbs, which are highly sensitive and require strict safety and handling procedures, including a no?metal policy. Duties include forklift operation, banding and taping boxes, and shipping preparation. 

Key Responsibilities:  

Operated Raymond stand?up reach trucks and cherry pickers (60% of role)  

Performed material handling: lifting to 50 lbs, staging, stocking, taping, and banding (40%)  

Assisted with facility setup, organization, and general warehouse tasks  

Followed strict safety and no?metal policies  

 

Schedules & Pay (varied by shift):  

It is required to be available for orientation on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In addition, testing is required on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m. on the Raymond stand-up and cherry picker equipment. If both tests are passed, the permanent shift may begin. 

Permanent shift: 2nd Shift: Mon–Thu, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM — $18.75/hr  

 Requirements:  

Experience with RAYMOND stand?up reach and cherry picker equipment  

Able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights (~30 ft)  

Composite toe boots required (no steel toes)  

Must comply with the no?metal policy
