Pay Range: $24–$28 per hour, based on experience
Job responsibilities:
- Requires 3–5 years of quality inspection or precision measurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or medical-device environment.
- Perform dimensional inspections on precision-machined components using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, CMM/OGP systems, and other precision measurement tools.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and apply GD&T principles to verify part conformance, documenting results clearly and accurately.
- Conduct Gage R&R studies, capability (Cp/Cpk) analyses, and internal quality audits to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepare first-piece inspection reports, maintain quality documentation, and assist production staff with data collection and control chart interpretation.
- Travel to customer or supplier locations as needed to address quality concerns and support corrective action activities.
• Strong working knowledge/skills using the following precision measurement:
- Tools/Gauges Optical Comparators
- Calipers Micrometers
- Height gauges Air Gauges
- Profilometers CMM (esp. CNC Controlled)
- OGP Smart scope
- ASQ CQT
