Pay & Shift Details

• Base Pay: $19.00/hour

• Incentives Available:

  • $0.50/hr increase after training completion (2–3 weeks)

  • $1.00/hr increase upon meeting performance KPIs

  • Productivity bonuses up to $50/week during peak season (Oct–Nov)

  • Attendance bonuses up to $75/week (Sep–Nov) + $75 perfect attendance completion bonus

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day Shift)

  • Overtime and weekends required during peak periods

  • Training attendance required for first 30 days (no absences/vacations)

What You'll Do

• Perform seed quality testing following ISTA and AOSA guidelines

• Conduct standard germination tests on corn, wheat, soy, and sorghum

• Roll seeds on paper/wax sheets, place into germinators, and evaluate seedlings (live, dead, abnormal)

• Record test results with accuracy using tablets and lab systems

• Monitor and maintain lab equipment in proper working order

• Cross-train on other lab functions to support critical tasks during high volume

• Maintain compliance with lab safety & housekeeping standards

Seasonal Job Flow

• September–October: Training, planting, and learning evaluation techniques (approx. 15 hrs of training on seedling evaluation).

• October–November: High-volume evaluation and testing of seedlings with performance bonuses available.

• December–January: Continued testing, monitoring quality results, and assisting with cross-functional tasks.

Candidate Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Basic computer skills (tablets, Outlook, internet navigation)

• Detail-oriented, with ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks

• Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

• Comfortable with long periods of standing/sitting (2–4 hours at a time)

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic (critical during training period)

• Location: Corteva Agriscience Laboratory (onsite)

• Dress Code: Long pants, closed-toe/heel shoes, no loose clothing

• PPE Provided: Safety glasses, gloves

• Environment: High-energy lab setting, team-based and individual tasks

• Start Date: ASAP or September 8, 2025
