Duration: Permanent position with full benefits

What's a typical day as a Production Supervisor? You'll be:
• Planning and executing the production schedule based on the MRP.
• Organizing work schedules for assembly, test, tech support, and pack-out operations on the shift.
• Monitoring the progress of product through final assembly and test to ensure build and ship plans are met.
• Ensuring that established policies, processes, and procedures are followed according to ISO9001 standards.
• Working with engineering to ensure procedures and training are available to employees.
• Providing backup and support for any high-volume area and/or area with a hot product in the department.
• Managing and analyzing production capacity vs. demand.
• Allocating resources to maintain and support the production line.
• Working closely with operations management to achieve accurate direct labor staffing levels.
• Holding regular employee meetings.
• Assisting in providing product/process training to the operations team.
• Assisting operations in utilizing the shop floor system.
• Attending production and quality meetings as required.
• Participating in new customer introduction teams and ensuring the successful start-up of those processes.
• Driving cross-functional resolution of all issues that impact manufacturing.
• Preparing work-in-process status reports.
• Generating and reporting all labor efficiency data.
• Reviewing and modifying departmental procedures, as needed.
• Participating in quality and management meetings as required.
• Being responsible for the accuracy of work-in-process.
• Training and mentoring other employees.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a Bachelor's Degree in a relative field, electronics-focus preferred, and 3 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• In lieu of education, have a minimum of 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Possess a Six-sigma green belt certification (a plus).
• Have a background in a medium to high-volume, system level, mechanical assembly, and/or SMT manufacturing environment.
• Have experience in a variety of technical disciplines and product technologies.
• Have thorough knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Can interpret prints, schematics, and diagrams as required.
• Have a strong background in resource planning and shop floor management.
• Possess organizational, time-management, and leadership skills.
• Have intermediate business tools/application knowledge (i.e., Email, Excel, MS Word, etc.).
• Are familiar with ISO9001 and IPC Standards.
• Can motivate employees and build a strong team atmosphere.
• Are a hands-on team player, able to communicate effectively with other groups.
• Are willing to work flexible hours as necessary.
