Production Operator – CNC Swiss
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour + 10% shift differential
(Pay rate may vary based on experience)
Shift:

2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM

Training Schedule: 1st Shift (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) for approximately 4 weeks
(Training paid at 1st shift rate prior to transfer to 2nd shift)
The CNC Swiss Production Operator is responsible for efficient and effective manufacturing production through the setup, operation, and quality verification of CNC Swiss machines. This role requires prior manufacturing and machining experience and the ability to work with close tolerances, complex setups, and precision measurement tools. Warehouse-only experience is not a fit for this position.
Key Responsibilities-
Set up, operate, and verify quality on CNC Swiss machines involving close tolerances and complex setups

Perform routine and repetitive production operations while consistently meeting quality and production standards

Perform repeat machine setups independently; complete complex setups with supervision as needed

Monitor and adjust program sequences, including positioning and cycle times

Assist with prove-out of new or modified part programs

Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and traveler instructions

Troubleshoot routine production issues independently; assist with complex troubleshooting under supervision

Run production jobs and deburr parts as required

Evaluate production performance against quality and productivity standards and recommend process improvements

Maintain required tooling to manufacture parts to specifications

Conduct in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring devices

Lubricate, clean, and maintain machines and equipment

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Follow all company, department, safety, and quality policies and procedures

Communicate job-related issues and production status to the Operations Manager

Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a team-oriented work environment

Perform multiple operations and related duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Minimum 2 years of Vo-Tech training in machine tool technology or a related field or equivalent hands-on machining experience

Prior experience operating CNC Swiss machines required

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands to operate tools and machinery

Occasional lifting of materials up to 40 pounds

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Work performed in a general machine shop environment
