Job Title: Production Operator I

Company: TE Connectivity
Location: Wilsonville, OR
Pay Rate: $20.90 per hour
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:15PM–1:45am

Job Summary

The Production Operator I is an entry-level role responsible for performing routine, repetitive production operations under close supervision. This position supports various manufacturing processes, including wire straightening, grinding, assembly, and coil production. The role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow established procedures in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine production tasks of a repetitive nature in support of manufacturing operations

  • Assist with wire straightening, grinding, assembly, and/or coil production processes

  • Accurately measure small wires and components using rulers and other measuring tools

  • Perform inspections on very small parts, with and without the use of a microscope

  • Complete production documentation accurately and maintain detailed records

  • Follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards

  • Use basic power tools and perform light lifting and carrying (up to 20 pounds)

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

  • Maintain focus and accuracy while performing detailed, hands-on tasks

  Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of machining experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction

  • Ability to work with both English and metric measurement systems

  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English for safety and documentation purposes

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Good manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts

  • Good eyesight or corrected vision sufficient for detailed inspection work

  • Ability to read blueprints is a plus
