Production Supervisor needed in Chantilly, VA 20151
Job Duration- 5+Months
Work Schedule
- Shift: Mon to Fri 2nd Shift - 2:30 pm.
- As the Production Supervisor, you will supervise the Production Assembly and Production Test teams in the manufacturing, assembly, and test of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- You will assist the Production Manager in not only execution of daily production tasks in accordance with defined production schedules but also in ensuring adherence to company policy and compliance to the organization's ISO9001/AS9100 registered Quality Management System.
- Provide high quality level of leadership and coaching for the production employees
- Supervise a wide variety of electro-mechanical product assembly and test operations while maintaining proper configuration and high-quality standards.
- Ensure a positive work environment that encourages increased productivity, a high level of collaboration and inspires creativity.
- Ensure employees comply with all procedures and processes specified in Mercury Systems, Inc. QMS.
- Maintain logs, paperwork, and forms consistent with company policy and practices.
- Maintain inventory of Shop Supplies / Consumable Floor Stock
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge in lean manufacturing to minimize waste without sacrificing productivity.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to ESD protocols.
- Develop relationships with QA and Engineering to improve production flow and execution.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering and QA with root cause analysis as needed.
- Ensure tools and support equipment are available and maintained as required.
- Capture KPIs as required by management.
- Drive and maintain continuous improvement actions
- Conferring with other functional managers, supervisors, and / or leads to coordinate operations and activities cross functionally
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Experience working with an ISO9001 and / or AS9100 registered QMS
- Familiarity with PC software (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Familiarity with MES, ERP, MRP software solutions
- Ability to manage multiple, conflicting and changing priorities to meet client deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a diverse work force.
- Ability to multi-task and to execute under pressure.
- US person status or clearance related requirements.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing leadership.
- Experience with MRP and factory control tools.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt / Green Belt
- Knowledge of RCA/RCCA Methodologies - 5 Why's, Fishbone, 8D
- Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-JSTD-001
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI
- Knowledge of Oracle
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an electronic manufacturing/production role
