Job Title: Production Associate
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Note: Weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.
Transportation Requirement:
Reliable transportation is essential for this position.
Safety Gear:
- Steel-toed shoes are required. Composite safety shoe covers may be provided if necessary.

- Are you able to stand for up to 10 hours a day?
- Are you comfortable working in a cold environment (38°F) and transitioning in and out of the chiller room during your shift? (You may wear your own jacket or receive one from the company.)
- Are you comfortable wearing earplugs/hearing protection due to the noisy production environment?
- The required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes a white lab jacket, protective glasses, helmet, and shoe covers. Are you comfortable wearing this gear?
- Are you able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) with assistance?
- Are you comfortable transferring 2- and 4-pound carts of product in and out of chillers and flipping trays as necessary?
- Can you perform additional duties as assigned, including transferring to the kitchen area?
- Are you bilingual in Spanish? (This is a plus but not required.)
- Do you have prior experience in the food industry?
Summary/Objective:
The Production Associate plays a crucial role in assisting supervisors to meet production demands while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work independently and accurately under limited supervision.
- Transfer product from filler to chiller.
- Report any discrepancies in product information to supervisors or leads.
- Manage the orderly transfer of production carts in and out of chillers and organize them in the Work-in-Progress (WIP) area.
- Ensure proper product alignment in the Garvey table area.
- Flip trays in chillers as required.
- Rework products that do not meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following the “5S” program.
- Promote a safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices while complying with food and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including transfer to the kitchen area.
Competencies:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
Minimum General Requirements:
- Frequent movement, including walking, standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Comfortable working in noisy environments and across different temperature zones, including cold and hot conditions.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
