Description

Job Title: Process Technician
Location: Hillsboro, OR– Onsite
Duration: 2 years with possible extensions
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 /HR 
Shift: 12-hour shifts. Must be able to work either day or night shift
Travel: Occasional overnight travel to clients factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical tests and experiments for process engineering, including the set up and operation of process equipment
  • Prepare records, charts, and graphs of test results
  • Operate metrology tools, (including particle counter, film thickness measurement, and others as needed), to qualify process equipment and optimize processes
  • Adjust hardware/software parameters to correct issues or execute experiments
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot process/integration problems
  • Perform minor electrical or mechanical troubleshooting on equipment
  • Perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance on process equipment

Required Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of semiconductor processing experience in thin film deposition, or etch, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing facility
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining vacuum-based processing equipment
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starting individual with strong technical and hands-on skills

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
  • The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places.
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing.
  • May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • A clean room garment may be required to be worn for lengthy periods of time. 
  • PPE is Required including, not limited to, consistent wearing of safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap.
  • Job duties may require walking up to and in excess of 10,000 steps and walking up and down multiple flights of stairs per shift (12 hours).
  • Occasional overnight travel to client factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
