Process Engineer

  • Location: La Vergne, TN 37086
  • Position Type: Permanent | Onsite
  • Salary: Starting at 80k - 95k (Based on experience – Excellent benefit package)
  • Must work without sponsorship

Position Summary
The Process Engineer provides technical support and problem-solving expertise for manufacturing operations at the La Vergne facility. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for process improvement, increasing efficiency, reducing cost, and supporting plant-wide operational excellence initiatives.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical ability, hands-on experience, and the capability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using structured problem-solving tools (5-Why, A3, 8D, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Continuous improvement and or lean manufacturing principles
  • Create, access, and reduce cycle time and manufacturing costs
  • Develop, improve, and standardize manufacturing processes and supporting documentation aligned with safety, quality, and production systems
  • Lead and support implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Analyze production data to recommend improvements in methods, tooling, and equipment to reduce costs
  • Manage multiple priorities with urgency and accountability
  • Identify and eliminate variability within standard manufacturing processes
  • Support process optimization and equipment reliability initiatives

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
    OR equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Experience in manufacturing processes
Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering documentation
  • Working knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated success implementing corrective actions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
