Pricing & Estimating Financial Analyst
Location: Hunt Valley, MD
Pay: $50.00 per hour

Role Overview: The Pricing & Estimating Financial Analyst supports proposal development efforts within a government contracting environment. This role partners closely with Proposal Management and Pricing leadership to develop compliant, accurate, and fully supported cost proposals in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company policies. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capability, and experience supporting cost proposal development for federal customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Proposal Manager and Pricing Analyst in preparing FAR-compliant cost proposals.
  • Analyze and validate labor hour estimates, material cost estimates, travel estimates, and other direct and indirect cost elements.
  • Ensure cost elements are current, accurate, and properly supported.
  • Input and manage proposal data within ProPricer (or a very similar pricing tool).
  • Assist in preparing management review briefings and pricing analysis slides.
  • Support development of cost/price volumes compliant with customer RFP requirements.
  • Assist with post-submittal activities including audit support, fact-finding, and negotiation preparation.
  • Follow established procedures and departmental guidance while collaborating across functional teams.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in pricing, estimating, or financial analysis (preferably in government contracting).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
  • Working knowledge of ProPricer preferred.
  • Understanding of pricing and costing principles in a federal acquisition environment.
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles and processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with program management, engineering, contracts, and finance teams.
