What's a typical day as a PLC Technician. You'll be:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Safety, demonstrated behaviors in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries.
• Quality, demonstrates behaviors in support of quality work processes to include, Document & track production variables, downtime, product samples, and to ensure proper blending of raw materials by weight or automatic metering systems, follow and document accurately time and temperature points in recipe specifications to meet the quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement Actively support the ConAgra Performance System-CPS. Experience in a High Performance Work Systems; 5's, working in teams, problem solving, six sigma, TPM, training, continuous skills development-CSD, auditing, planned and/or autonomous maintenance-AM.
• Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• Follow up with outside services.
• The Controls Technician is responsible for following up on control work that has been done by Maintenance Technicians by his direction or in his absence.
• Responsible for training of production operators, maintenance technicians, production and managers on the operations of newly installed or modified process or utility control systems, including the documentation of operational procedures, as-built drawings and logic.
• Responsible for following up with outside controls contractors and Systems Integrators to insure they turn over fully documented PLC programs of the systems they have worked on and that they provide training for all Maintenance and Operations personnel involved in the area of concern.
• The ability to interact effectively and professionally with coworkers.
• Be able to perform all skills as outlined on the Skills Element Tree.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
• Experience with pressure controls, control circuits, programmable controllers, drive units and variable frequency drives, scales, monitoring systems, sensors and security systems in an industrial environment at least 2 years
• Servo Motors and drives experience
• Vision System Experience
• Extensive PLC troubleshooting experience
• Extensive Allen Bradley HMI troubleshooting experience
• Pressure, flow, temperature and level transmitters
• Working knowledge of MS Excel Access, Word, Power Point
• Auto CAD experience
• Associates Degree or equivalent Required
