Phlebotomist – Serve Veterans at Dayton VA Medical Center  Full-Time | Dayton, OH

Are you a skilled Phlebotomist ready to make a real difference? In this fast-paced hospital environment, your steady hands and calm demeanor will help patients through nerve-wracking moments, whether drawing blood from elderly veterans or guiding first-timers with reassurance and care.

What You'll Do:

  • Accurately identify and compassionately interact with patients from all backgrounds
  • Perform venipuncture, collect and process specimens for critical medical testing
  • Ensure every tube is perfectly labeled and handled for timely test results
  • Troubleshoot and resolve specimen collection issues alongside supportive colleagues
  • Maintain safety, infection control, and best practices each and every shift You'll be a key member of a patient-focused healthcare team, collaborating closely with nurses, doctors, and fellow lab staff so our veterans get the best care possible.
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience in hospital or clinical settings
  • Ability to work weekdays 7:00am – 3:30pm
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and computer literacy
  • Certification strongly preferred (ASCP, NPA, ASPT, etc.), but not required
