Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of hands-on payroll processing experience and a solid understanding of payroll regulations and best practices. Knowledge of Paylocity is a plus. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and a commitment to delivering timely, compliant payroll services to our employees.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately process payroll on a biweekly basis for 200 employees.

Review and verify timesheets, earnings, deductions, and other payroll-related data.

Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Maintain and update employee payroll records, tax information, and direct deposit details.

Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management and relevant agencies.

Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.

Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.

Collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll-related matters.

Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 distribution and tax filings.

Other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.

Proficiency in payroll software; experience with Paylocity strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll best practices.

High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.

Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work Schedule:

Part-time - 10-20 hours per week. Flexible schedule may be available, but payroll deadlines must be met.
Compensation:
-
$31-$35/hr.
