Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator
Location: Onsite in Mt. Vernon, OH
Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:00pm – 6:00am), 2-2-3 rotation
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join our production team in Mt. Vernon, OH. This position operates on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, working nights. The primary responsibilities include packaging, cleaning, and providing coverage during breaks, primarily in the production area.

Main Responsibilities:

• Package finished goods and operate bagger equipment
• Spot outbound trucks into material load docks and ensure proper dock-locks
• Reclaim off-quality materials and refeed to the production line
• Perform general cleanup (sweeping, blowing down lines, cleaning break rooms, etc.)
• Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes
• Execute special tasks as assigned by plant staff
• Participate in safety and housekeeping programs

Preferred Experience:

• 1–3 years manufacturing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Comprehend verbal and written instructions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent customer service skills (internal and external)
• Team-player but capable of working independently
• Intermediate mathematical ability
