  • 2-4 years' manufacturing experience
  • 5-7 years' operations and Lean manufacturing
  • Six Sigma (Green belt minimum)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area: Supply Chain, Logistics, Business

Pay: $150k - $175k based on experience, plus bonus
Hours: Daytime

Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will provide manufacturing leadership to deliver world-class production. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations across production, logistics, warehouse, purchasing, and laboratory functions to ensure efficiency, quality, and alignment with organizational goals. The Operations Manager leads, motivates, and develops employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results, while leveraging Continuous Improvement tools, improving individual skills, and enhancing teamwork. The position assures the adequate and timely distribution of goods to attain maximum sales potential consistent with sound inventory practices and controls.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to operations to meet objectives on a day-to-day basis.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure organizational efficiency across all departments.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to increase productivity and performance.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate with department heads to align operations with company goals and strategic plans.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to operational activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Identifies and eliminates safety hazards.
  • Lead, train, and support teams to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to maximize value.
  • Report to senior leadership on operational performance and challenges.
  • Performs any other associated job-related duties as assigned by management.
  • Ensure that the production facility and finished products meet the company standards for quality and safety.
  • Establish and sustain sound relationships with all employees to foster an environment where innovative methods are used to involve others in creative solutions.
  • Work closely cross functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources, and Quality, Engineering.
  • Facilitate the effective interchange of information between departments, cross-functional resources, and leadership.
  • Ability and willingness to travel on short notice if required
  • Performs any other associated job-related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area: Supply Chain, Logistics, Business
  • 5-7 years of operations experience required
  • 2-4 years of experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Six Sigma certification preferred - green belt minimum
  • Excellent communication, and collaboration skills
  • Project management required
  • ERP experience required
