*Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm

Kelly is seeking a Nonprofit Financial Consultant to work with our small nonprofit accounting client on a temporary basis through at least the end of May. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organization that improves and changes lives daily in its local community!
The Nonprofit Financial Consultant will:
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the organization's financial health and provide leadership with a clear picture of the current state
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Implement financial controls and processes that align with business goals
- Ensure compliance with grant management requirements, audits, and financial regulations
- Support audit preparations and oversee forensic accounting reviews as needed
- Maintain objectivity and provide unbiased financial insights to leadership
- Work closely with leadership to develop long-term financial strategies
- Identify and mitigate potential financial risks
- Serve as a key financial advisor to the CEO and leadership team
- Experience in nonprofit or grant-funded organizations (if applicable)
- Prior involvement in financial restructuring or transitional finance roles
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices
- Proven experience in a senior finance role
- Expertise in grant management, audits, and forensic accounting
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to guide strategic decision-making
- Unwavering professionalism, integrity, and objectivity in financial matters
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience in implementing financial processes and controls in a dynamic environment
