Kelly is currently hiring for a MRO Coordinator with our prestigious client in Houston/Freeport TX.

Title: MRO Coordinator
Location: Houston/Freeport TX
Contract length: 12 months

Flexible Hybrid role
The candidate needs to have MRO SAP knowledge, TERP10 certification is a plus.

Job Description
This role is part of the M&E organization (ITOT). The M&E organization, which is comprised of architecture, domain and business process team members, facilitates collaboration between functions /disciplines and experts in the application of information technology (IT) within an Operations context. The basis of this collaboration is the shared objective of defining, delivering and supporting IT solutions providing optimal capability at minimal lifecycle cost. This role manages data including the global Maintenance, Repair and Operating (MRO) supplies catalog and/or SAP Master Data Configuration. Ensures alignment of sites to the global master data. Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, techniques and methodology within the analytical technology discipline. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities / Duties
In supporting MRO Coding:
 

  • Creates and maintains global material codes for use within the current catalog/procurement system.
  • Participates in a global material data steward network.
  • Participates in global cataloging systems design or improvement.
  • Understands, utilizes, and improves the MRO coding global work process and coding standards for all Items created and maintained in the catalog(s).
  • Assists in plant/site/global teams to coordinate and develop material coding solutions that meet objectives of common codes and work processes.
  • Participates in standardization of MRO materials though standardization of the catalog.

In role supporting Maintenance Data Administration (MDA):
  • Manages SAP Master Data system and structure changes.
  • Leads and supports the implementation of high value, globally supported, improvement opportunities. Identifies and participates in the prioritization of SAP Plant Maintenance improvements.
  • Networks broadly within the internal and external technical SAP Plant Maintenance community to facilitate shared learning and use of best practice.

Experience: Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate Degree) plus manufacturing or other related experience preferred. In lieu of degree, equivalent years of experience required.
