Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Mill and Lathe Machinists for a busy Electronic manufacturer located in Longwood, FL 32750

Pay rate: $29+/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday - Thursday  7:00am - 4:00pm Fri 7am-1pm
Term: Temp to hire 

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload raw materials for machining operations.
  • Use gauges and measuring instruments proficiently to achieve precise tolerance requirements.
  • Reduce setup and machining times through continuous process improvement.
  • Inspect completed parts using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, rulers, and other measuring tools.
  • Perform daily and preventative maintenance on all shop equipment.
  • Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the Machine Shop.
  • Adhere to AS9100 quality and safety requirements.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements.
  • Train and mentor new and less-experienced team members.
  • Perform geometry, tool wear offsets, and program edits as needed.
  • Follow all quality policies and work instructions.
  • Track and document job progress and deficiencies in both written and electronic formats.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience with CNC mill and lathe, including programming and setup (required)
  • CAM and CMM experience (required)
  • Mazak experience (preferred)
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Strong proficiency with measuring and inspection tools
  • Solid knowledge of CNC controls, as well as M and G code
  • Ability to independently set up and operate lathes with minimal supervision
  • Capable of performing basic and advanced mathematical calculations
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality workmanship
  • Self-motivated and dependable team player
