Description

Production Operator – Medical Device

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (CST)
Experience Required: Prior manufacturing or medical production experience required

Position Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for operating manufacturing equipment to convert raw materials into finished medical products in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role ensures accurate documentation, performs in-process quality checks, and maintains optimal production flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Convert raw materials into finished goods while meeting production targets.

  • Perform in-process quality inspections (e.g., hardness, weight, variation, pH, moisture content).

  • Maintain accurate inventory and production records, including materials used and work completed.

  • Identify equipment malfunctions or product defects and perform basic troubleshooting.

  • Follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics as required.

  • Maintain documentation for work orders, inventory levels, and production output.

  • Coordinate with materials planning, production, and maintenance teams to meet scheduling requirements.

  • Requisition materials based on production needs and delivery timelines.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (especially for medical manufacturing environments).

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or medical device production required.

  • Ability to follow written procedures, blueprints, and technical documentation.

  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skill Level
  • Entry-level to early-career role.

  • Performs routine tasks following established procedures.

  • Receives moderate supervision.
