Location: on site in Topeka, KS
Hours: M-F 8am - 5pm
Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $28/hour
What's a typical day as an Independent Medical Claims Dispute Resolution Specialist? You'll be:
- Supporting the logging of inbound and outbound communications to ensure accurate tracking.
- Processing payment requests and claims payments efficiently.
- Providing level one responses to inquiries about the Open Negotiation Process (ONP).
- Assisting in the negotiation and reimbursement process for providers.
- Maintaining timelines and tracking pieces over several weeks to ensure compliance.
- Potentially making outbound billing service calls to facilitate communication.
- Collaborating closely with two Independent Dispute Resolution Analysts to streamline processes.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Possess proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computers
- Proficiency in document tracing with excellent follow up skills
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow up and sequence tasks effectively.
- Have an understanding of health insurance processes, which is beneficial.
- Can work independently and apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) guidelines to inquiries.
- Exhibit a logistics mentality with a focus on non-customer-facing tasks.
