Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Level IV – Direct Hire)
 
 •    Plainfield, IN
 •    $35–$37 per hour (includes 2nd shift differential)
 •    2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM (Overtime may be required on Fridays and weekends)

 Kelly® is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a global leader in automotive component manufacturing.

 Responsibilities
 
 As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving complex mechanical and electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable production.
 
 Key duties include:
 •    Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on heavy industrial machinery
 •    Troubleshoot and repair CNC controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and complex systems
 •    Conduct preventive maintenance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
 •    Utilize MIG welding, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation in daily tasks
 •    Diagnose and repair issues with semi-automatic equipment (e.g., ROSIE, Blaster, Sigma Press, Vertical Lathe)
 •    Collaborate across departments to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
 •    Guide and mentor junior team members (team lead responsibilities, not direct supervision)
 •    Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
 
 Qualifications
 •    High school diploma or equivalent required
 •    10+ years of experience in industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance (15+ years preferred)
 •    Strong background in CNC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controls, and MIG welding
 •    Experience in heavy industrial or automotive manufacturing environments
 •    Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and service manuals
 •    Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
 •    Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
 •    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work overtime as needed
 
 Preferred Skills
 •    Experience leading or mentoring maintenance personnel
 •    Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) or Lean Manufacturing practices
 •    Strong organizational and documentation skills
 •    Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic safety controls
 
 Schedule
 •    2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM
 •    Overtime: Fridays and weekends as needed
