Materials Planning Support Associate

Location: Katy, TX 77493
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Materials Planning Support Associate to support production and supply chain operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted material flow, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. Candidates must have strong warehouse experience, particularly in shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage receiving, shipping, and order pulling processes.

  • Operate warehouse equipment including forklift and pallet jack.

  • Determine resources necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply for production and sales.

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels; coordinate with purchasing to maintain adequate stock of parts and raw materials.

  • Ensure materials are cost-effective and meet quality standards.

  • Resolve material-related issues while maintaining inventory performance metrics.

  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers as needed.

  • Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure quality and value.

  • Maintain accurate procurement system data entry and integrity.

  • Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and part/commodity numbers in supply chain systems.

  • Develop specifications for new contract orders.

  • Provide input on supplier performance and participate in performance reviews when needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1+ year of warehouse experience.

  • Shipping experience required.

  • Experience in receiving, shipping, and order pulling.

  • Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training preferred).

Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to follow established procedures, policies, and processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Basic understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.

  • Ability to adapt procedures and techniques to meet job requirements.

  • Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented.
