Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Beaumont, TX
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17 - $18/hour (DOE) Job Overview The Material Handler is an essential member of the warehouse team, responsible for maintaining efficient and accurate handling of inventory. The role involves various tasks including material movement, inventory tracking, and order fulfillment. Flexibility and teamwork are valued, with the expectation that employees will assist in different areas as needed to ensure overall success. Primary Responsibilities
- Unload materials, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks; inspect incoming items for quality and accuracy.
- Organize and transfer inventory to proper locations within the warehouse, ensuring all items are labeled correctly.
- Move materials to and from different work areas for modification or assembly.
- Assemble and package orders according to customer requirements.
- Accurately pull orders for delivery, coordinate stock transfers, and handle loading operations with warehouse equipment.
- Prepare shipment documentation and ensure orders are completed for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipping.
- Comply with all safety procedures, policies, and training requirements.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization in line with OSHA and customer guidelines.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or injuries immediately.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Class C Driver's License is required.
- Ability to read and communicate in English clearly to follow safety instructions and respond to inquiries.
- Basic math, reading, typing, and general computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes.
- Previous experience with or technical knowledge of handheld scanners is preferred.
- Must be able to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
- Ability to follow company guidelines and expectations, including ethical standards and codes of conduct.
