Material Handler – 1st Shift
Location: Port Wentworth, GA 31407
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are looking for dependable and detail-oriented Material Handlers to join our warehouse team. This role is more than moving materials—you will help maintain accurate inventory by using scanners, verifying products, and ensuring materials are properly handled and documented.

Key Responsibilities
• Use hand trucks, manual equipment, and scanning devices to move, track, and verify materials within the warehouse and onto trucks
• Load finished products onto pallets and stack them in designated areas
• Scan and verify all inbound and outbound materials to maintain accurate inventory records
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure shipments and orders are correct
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace (including sweeping and removing trash)
• Follow all safety policies and operational procedures
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications & Requirements
• Recent 1–2 years of Material Handler experience required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours)
• Ability to lift and pull up to 50 lbs consistently
• Comfortable with frequent bending, stretching, and reaching
• Able to work in a large, active warehouse environment
• Flexible to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
• Comfortable working in varying conditions (lighting, noise, temperature)
• Dependable, safety-focused, and proactive in identifying issues
