Job Summary:
Join our team in Portage as a Material Handler, where you'll play a key role in managing the flow of materials, parts, and supplies within our organization. Under general supervision, you'll be responsible for both physical and administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing, and distributing materials. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality will ensure the seamless operation of our materials management processes.

Job Specifications:

  • Job Type: Material Handler
  • Location: Portage
  • Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
  • Shift: 1st M-F 5:30am - 2:00pm

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical and administrative tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials and inventory.
  • Adhere to safety and ergonomic practices.
  • Follow and comprehend detailed verbal and written instructions.
  • Participate in cross-training and teamwork initiatives.
  • Carry out repetitive tasks with stamina and attention to detail.
  • Speak up to address safety and quality concerns.
  • Analyze material and inventory issues with independent judgment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
  • Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, and policies in English.
  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Capacity to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds constantly.
  • Good visual perception and fine motor skills.
  • High energy level and motivation to grow and learn.
