Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: Chesapeake, VA
- Pay Rate: $19/hr
- Shift: M-F, 3:30P-12:00A (Midnight). Overtime as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify bill of lading and packing lists.
- Engage with purchasing and other departments to resolve packing list discrepancies.
- Conduct inspections and identify damaged goods as needed.
- Accurately record materials received and distribute documentation to relevant personnel.
- Ensure system (ERP) receipt of materials within 24 hours.
- Verify the accuracy of outbound shipments and package them appropriately.
- Maintain proper document filing and archiving.
- Follow warehouse processes and maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
- Adhere to all Flowserve safety requirements.
- Perform basic computer tasks, including navigating Microsoft Office.
- Work occasional overtime, including weekends and evenings.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and assist with heavier items when necessary.
- Multitask effectively in a production environment with multiple product changeovers.
- Willingness to learn and cross-train in different functions.
- Communicate effectively within the logistics team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous related material handling experience preferred.
- Stand-up forklift experience is required.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- High School Diploma / GED and/or 0-2 years relevant experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
