Are you an experienced Diesel Technician looking for your next opportunity? We're seeking a Master Diesel Technician III to join our client and deliver high-quality service for our fleet of semi-tractor vehicles. In this key role, you'll run diagnostic tests, perform preventative maintenance, execute repairs, and work alongside company drivers and fellow technicians to ensure efficient and successful repair processes.
Location: Romeoville, IL
Pay Range: $35 - $50/hour
Hours: First Shift, 6:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose issues in semi-trucks and tractor-trailers

Execute preventative maintenance, including HVAC and tractor servicing

Replace coils, filters, and other parts, and test fire alarms/extinguishers

Test equipment and systems for optimal performance

Document all repairs and maintenance

Repair and maintain brakes, electrical, suspension systems, and structural components

Conduct engine repairs and maintenance (Cummins, PACCAR, International, Detroit)

Diagnose and repair aftertreatment systems and engine-related issues

Conduct engine rebuilds and overhauls

Read and interpret wiring schematics

Ensure work quality meets all safety and regulatory standards

Conduct DOT annual vehicle inspections
Skills & Requirements
-
Minimum 1 year experience in semi-tractor maintenance and repair or equivalent education/experience

Minimum 1 year experience in tractor maintenance and repair or equivalent
-
Proven diesel mechanic experience (semi-diesel mechanic required)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Valid driver's license

Must own your own tools

Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Computer literate
-
Ability and willingness to learn complex mechanical and electrical systems

ASE Certification preferred
