Job Title: Marketing Assistant – HubSpot Email Specialist (Contract)
Location: Austin, TX preferred | Open to fully remote (CST)
Duration: 20 weeks (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM CT (20 hours/week, flexibility required)
Pay Rate: $38–$43/hour
Interview Process: Two virtual rounds

About the Role

Cotality is seeking a detail-oriented Marketing Assistant – HubSpot Email Specialist to support the Marketing team during a 20-week maternity leave coverage. This role serves as a Quality Gatekeeper for all outbound email campaigns. While the marketing team develops campaign assets, you will be responsible for final technical review, compliance validation, and approval within HubSpot Marketing Hub.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized email marketing professional who thrives on precision, process, and ensuring flawless campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve all marketing emails prior to deployment

  • Ensure mobile responsiveness and dark mode optimization

  • Verify link accuracy and personalization token functionality

  • Confirm correct subscription types and tracking parameters in HubSpot

  • Monitor sender reputation and email deliverability standards

  • Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL regulations

  • Set up and test automated nurture sequences and triggers

  • Validate lead handoffs and automation logic

  • Provide feedback on subject lines, A/B testing, and segmentation strategies

  • Maintain a 48-hour turnaround time on approval requests

Required Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub (required)

  • Strong attention to detail with proven QA experience

  • Understanding of SPF/DKIM records and bounce management

  • Experience managing multiple campaign approvals simultaneously

  • Knowledge of email compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Litmus or Email on Acid

  • Basic HTML/CSS troubleshooting skills

  • Background in marketing automation and deliverability best practices
