Title: Mapping Vehicle Operator - 27716
Location: Greater Phoenix, AZ area
Classification: W2 under Staffing Supplier
Work Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM MST (four 10-hour shifts per week)
Contract Duration: February 23, 2026 – May 31, 2026
Compensation: $25.41/hour

A specialized operations team is seeking Mapping Vehicle Operators to work out of the vehicle, collecting high-quality mapping data throughout the Greater Phoenix area. This critical mission supports operational and technology goals, requiring reliable, safety-minded individuals with tech skills and an interest in emerging autonomy and mapping technology. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate mapping vehicles across diverse environments, road types, and weather conditions, maintaining strict adherence to local traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Prepare vehicles and equipment for testing based on detailed instructions; collaborate with partners and engineers to execute mapping and test plans.
  • Communicate effectively with in-vehicle partners and supervisors, maintaining a strong focus on test objectives and accurate task completion.
  • Perform various driving tasks: route mapping, engineering test drives, transport and delivery.
  • Create thorough, detailed reports about testing results, vehicle performance, and user experience.
  • Support test activities using engineering principles, analysis tools, and established operational practices.
  • Coordinate logistics for test activities: site readiness, tool availability, and resource planning.
  • Conduct quality assurance evaluations on mapping data and vehicle functionality.
  • Drive safely in all conditions—including adverse weather, darkness, and challenging terrain.
  • Adhere to all security protocols for vehicles and report concerns immediately.
  • Move equipment, upload data disks, and assist with general operational activity as needed.
  • Collect feedback, schedule fixes, and track progress using ticketing/workflow tools (e.g., JIRA).
Requirements
  • 1–2 years of experience in the technology industry or strong demonstrated interest in technology.
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
  • Willingness to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) as a condition of hire.
  • Proficiency with ticketing and workflow management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Strong organizational and process discipline; ability to follow structured schedules and adapt as needed.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting tech and basic operational issues.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as part of scheduled shifts.
  • Genuine interest in autonomy, robotics, or mapping technology.
