Magnet technology technician – $25/hr – temp-to-hire – Roanoke, TX
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour DuPont schedule (day/night shifts included)

Our client in the advanced materials sector is seeking a magnet technology technician to join their cutting-edge facility in Roanoke, TX. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering hands-on work in a unique environment with world-class development equipment. You'll be part of a forward-thinking team driving the next generation of U.S.-based magnet manufacturing.

This role is a strong match for individuals with prior experience in manufacturing, lab manufacturing, or compounding—particularly those who enjoy hands-on work and solving technical problems in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing
  • Operate lab and industrial equipment such as furnaces, gloveboxes, metal processing, and machining tools

  • Carry out experiments and test plans with precision and attention to detail

  • Record observations and share findings with team leads and engineers

  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and assist in optimizing processes

  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace

  • Develop and update documentation for experimental procedures

Why you'd be a good fit
  • Associate's degree in applied science or related field OR 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience

  • Experience in manufacturing, lab manufacturing, or compounding environments

  • Comfortable working with metals, powders, chemicals, and related tools

  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

  • Able to work independently and communicate effectively with technical teams

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
