Machine Shop Supervisor

Location: Vidor, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $35 - $45/hour, DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (OT as needed)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to lead our climate-controlled machine shop. This is a hands-on role that requires programming expertise, team leadership, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining, the ability to manage and train a team, and a proven track record in estimating costs and time for part production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the daily operations of the machine shop.
• Program CNC machines and train others on proper usage.
• Estimate costs and timelines for producing parts accurately.
• Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Operate machinery as a working manager when needed.
• Utilize basic Microsoft Office programs for documentation and reporting.
• Oversee and manage the machine shop team, ensuring optimal performance.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with GIBBS CAM software is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years operating machinery in a machine shop environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
