Now Hiring: Packaging Operator – Temp-to-Hire
Location: Burlington, Vermont
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Packaging Operations team. All training is provided, and this position offers a clear path to permanent employment with competitive pay and benefits.
Shifts Available

  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (2-2-3 rotation)
    Week A: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
    Week B: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (2-2-3 rotation)
    Week A: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
    Week B: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Must be available for potential off-shift, weekend, and/or holiday coverage based on business needs.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Pay: $22.00/hour
Night Shift Differential: +15%
Upon conversion to full-time:

About the Role
The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring product quality, efficiency, and cleanliness in the packaging area. Training will be provided to perform a variety of tasks, including:
  • Operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment
  • Performing quality checks and completing documentation
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
  • Maintaining a safe and organized environment
  • Assisting with rework and other assigned duties
Cleaning & Sanitation responsibilities include:
  • Completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists
  • Safely handling and using cleaning chemicals
  • Performing dry cleans and wet washes
  • Assembling and disassembling equipment for sanitation
  • Following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (required and verified before start date)
  • Reliable attendance and work history
  • Mechanical aptitude (preferred)
  • Basic computer, math, and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to write legibly and follow written instructions
  • Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights and in variable temperatures (hot and cold)
  • Ability to stand for approximately 90% of a 12-hour shift
  • Exposure to manufacturing noise

Plant Closure Notice
Operations at this facility are expected to conclude in July 2027 as part of a planned transition. Production will continue for approximately the next two years.
Competitive severance packages will be offered to employees who remain through project completion:
  • 12+ months of service: 52 weeks (1 year) of base pay, bonus, and company-paid COBRA coverage
  • Less than 12 months of service: 36 weeks (9 months) of base pay, bonus, and COBRA coverage
Employment will remain full-time, regular, benefits-eligible, and at-will through the project's completion.
