Greenfield Machine Operator
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as Machine Operator in Greenfield, IN! In this full-time role, you will independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot machinery involved in slitting, cut-to-length, or roll-forming processes. Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time, 3-4 month assignment with the potential to be hired on
- Company: Kelly Services
- Location: Greenfield
- Pay Rate: $23.55 per hour
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 6 AM - 2 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Set up, thread material through, and operate slitting, cut-to-length, or roll-forming machinery independently.
- Follow daily manufacturing work orders, paying special attention to various materials and adding necessary notations.
- Assist with the operation of additional machinery under close supervision.
- Support packaging operations, including banding and palletizing metal coils/sheets and labeling finished products.
- Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with specified lengths, widths, and weights.
- Achieve production goals while adhering to safety requirements.
- Mount and adjust slitter knives, spaces, and guide discs for specified coil widths.
- Adjust machinery based on observation and monitoring equipment feedback.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and daily equipment inspections.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift (training provided).
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Basic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using measuring devices such as gauges, tapes, and rulers.
- Team player who can follow instructions from management and peers.
- Willingness to learn and operate new equipment.
