Now Hiring: Lead Investigators – Pharma Manufacturing (Deviation Management)
Location: Cincinnati, OH (onsite)
Duration: 6-month contract
Pay Rate: $40-45/hour + benefits

Kelly Scientific is currently partnering with a leading pharmaceutical organization to recruit multiple Lead Investigators with strong backgrounds in pharmaceutical manufacturing. These professionals will be responsible for supporting non-critical deviation remediation efforts. Ideal candidates will bring a combination of technical insight, investigative rigor, and collaboration skills to drive resolution and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead structured, methodical investigations from initiation to closure, ensuring defined scopes, strategies, and timelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigation reports, outlining issue definitions, potential product impact, root cause analysis, and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to:
    • Align on communication and investigation strategies.
    • Develop actionable problem statements and investigation plans.
    • Select tools and methodologies for root cause determination.
    • Drive solution development and implementation, including effectiveness checks.
  • Engage both internal and external subject matter experts to enhance investigation quality and turnaround time.
  • Escalate significant issues as needed and manage priorities to meet critical timelines.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as required to support investigation excellence.

Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly analyze technical information and lead thorough investigations.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with an emphasis on technical writing.
  • Self-driven and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership throughout the investigation lifecycle.
  • Able to navigate and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work with QMS platforms such as Veeva (or quickly learn them).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a regulated industry such as pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with common problem-solving and root cause analysis tools.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP standards and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience specifically related to Quality Deviation Management.
