Shift: Monday-Thursday 3 PM - 1:45 AM
Job Overview The Glass Lamination Line Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation of the glass lamination line, including the cleaning of glass and laminate, running the lamination machinery, and maintaining high product quality and safety standards. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities
- Operate Lamination Equipment:
- Set up, run, and monitor the glass lamination line
- Adjust operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, and line speed as directed.
- Material Preparation & Handling:
- Clean glass sheets and laminate interlayers to precise standards, following clean workspace guidelines
- Load glass, laminate (e.g., PVB or EVA), and interlayers into the machine.
- Use tools such as brushes and rollers to remove air bubbles and ensure clean, defect-free bonds.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect in-process and finished laminated glass for defects, such as delamination, bubbles, or misalignment.
- Perform and document regular quality checks, reporting any deviations to supervisory staff.
- Record production and inspection data accurately.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize settings to maintain continuous, high-quality production.
- Communicate with maintenance teams when more advanced repairs are required.
- Safety & Teamwork:
- Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Safely guide glass panels, especially in hot or fast-moving areas.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth, efficient operation and effective shift handoff.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
- Basic safety and quality control knowledge; training will be provided for role specifics
