Are you looking to start your career? Well, we have the job for you. We are currently looking Plant Laborers to join our partnering client we have here in North Charleston, S. As a laborer you will do general labor work as assigned, drives fork truck, dumps recycle materials, assists other operators, clean-up jobs, labels bags or drums, moves material to and from warehouse. A Laborer can be assigned to do general labor work in any area of the plant.

 

Support ESH Compliance

  • Follow all plant safety rules and procedures for handling phosphates
  • Follow all applicable ICL requirements
  • Follow plant emergency procedures
  • Complete all required training
  • Perform job safely, in an environmentally sound manner and in accordance with all cGMP requirements

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate fork truck
  • Haul bags, drums, supersacks and pallets
  • Cleans bins, tanks, and other equipment
  • Labels bags, drums, and supersacks
  • Moves material to Warehouse as needed
  • Dumps material for recycle from dumps or bags
  • Works in several areas of the plant as assigned
  • Ensure production and housekeeping in assigned areas meets cGMP standards
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety system requirements

 

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must successfully qualify as a fork truck operator
  • Have the physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. further than 10 feet on a frequent basis
  • Ability to safely exit the plant in the event of an emergency
  • Be able to pass a preemployment drug screen

 

Salary Range: 18 per hour
