Job Title: Lab Tech
Location: Cleveland, OH
Rate: $21.00/hour (contract-to-hire)
Shift: 2nd shift | 2pm-10:30pm |Mon-Fri
(overtime is available and sometimes required when large projects come in)
Overview: Provide quality control support by lab testing incoming materials and finished products. This is a team environment within a Union facility that manufactures resin and catalyst foundry products.

Key Accountabilities:
- Work in a team environment with shift supervisor and union operators to meet production needs by providing quality testing and support.
- Prioritize production samples for incoming and outgoing materials.
- Test incoming raw materials and finished products according to procedures for wet chemistry such as Viscosity, Refractive Index, Auto-titration, Gas Chromatography, Boiling Point, and more.
- Test finished products according to procedure for sand chemistry such as: Strength of materials testing, tensile strength, and compressibility.
- Provide and analyze test results to approve materials
- Participate in a variety of laboratory support activities for specific testing programs
- Prepare certificates of analysis
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and supplies
- Write non-conforming material incident reports
- Follow standard laboratory methods, practices, procedures, policies and regulations regarding laboratory materials and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related (any degree related to natural sciences); specific field may be substituted with equivalent experience.
- Analytical chemistry or a quality control lab experience preferred but not required.
