Description

Kelly Services is hiring a Quality Control Lab Associate on behalf of a leading global adhesives and sealants in Chagrin Falls.

As a QC Lab Associate, you will play a key part in maintaining product quality by performing checks on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. You'll work out of a lab-based environment that includes an office area and a separate test room, and you'll be one of two technicians in the lab, reporting directly to the QC Lab Supervisor.

$23.00 - $27.00 Per Hour
Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (30-minute flexible scheduling)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
  • Enter and back up test results in databases and spreadsheets
  • Maintain lab retain samples and support documentation
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines
  • Collect time-sensitive samples and maintain retain inventory
  • Maintain test room supplies and equipment to ensure uninterrupted lab operations
  • Support management of expired, damaged, off-spec, and returned material
  • Investigate customer complaints within 48 hours and report findings
  • Submit batch release reports and notify teams of rejected batches before shipment
  • Communicate test equipment issues, schedule changes, and quality concerns
  • Complete all paperwork and record-keeping accurately and promptly
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Prior lab or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret batch sheets, MSDS, SOPs, and safety documentation
  • Strong math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division (fractions and decimals)
  • Accurate documentation and attention to detail
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods, walk, reach, bend, and lift (no lifting over 50 lbs.; occasional lifts up to 50 lbs.)
