This is a direct hire Installer/Fabricator position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Details:
• Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30, overtime likely
• $28-32/hr. based on skills and experience
• Allendale, MI (Travel required up to 50-75%)
Position Information:
• Operate metalworking machines such as shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses, and CNC equipment to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
• Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering, and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, partition frames, dust collection piping, and material handling systems.
• Install sheet metal products on location at customer site according to specifications and building codes.
• Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment.
• Inspect product quality and installation for 100% conformation to specifications.
• Travel required up to 50-75% of the time, up to 2-week increments
Required Experience:
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, and knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• MIG welding various mild steel including 16 gauge, ¼”, 3/8”, ½”.
• TIG/Stick welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, sketches, and work specifications.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and strong math skills.
• Weld fabrication experience with sheet metal and structural welding is required, must pass weld test
• HS Diploma or equivalent, and ability to work overtime as needed.
